Side Step Card with Eureka Stamps

Hello and a Very Happy Monday to everyone!!

Here to share my DT creation for Eureka Stamps

Today begins a new challenge over on the Eureka Stamps blog, 

This week our theme is 

Step Card - either Center Step or Side Step 

This type of card is always so fun to make, today I went with a side step card, you can keep it fairly simple or dress it up as fancy as you want.

This week I chose our digi 13106 Fawn  to play with and I love how gorgeous this image is once you add a tiny bit of color to it. I used a shadow of dots to highlight around the image then distressed the edges with powder ink in Amaretto, brown card stock for my base and then added some fun scrap paper, dies cuts are from Marianne Design Creatables , tiny cabin and tree, ribbon, button and twine from my stash. For finishing touches I added MS Snow glitter on the dies and around the image.

I kept my card clean and simple as the image just speaks 'GORGEOUS" 

and  although my coloring isn't the best, the image is beautiful!!

Beautiful flowers of Summer 

One of my favorite flowers are Daisies, so I took one of the images from 36303 Spring set of 4 images

and enlarged it for my focal point!! Using some of my favorite Copic Yellows I colored in this gorgeous image.

My side panel was create using Washi tape and then I added the black stitched ribbon for my finishing touch!

Movie Magic Monthly - Twilight

Hi , Happy Sunday did you spring forward with your clocks this morning?  I know I am excited to have the extra daylight in the evening and knowing Spring is just around the corner!! I think I am done with the wintery mix we have been having here in KY.

Well it's that time for me to share our Newest Monthly Challenge at Movie Magic Monthly

Here's my inspiration 

I colored up this wonderful Immortal Love from Sassy Studio Designs 

pairing them with some Basic Grey papers I have had for some time now. Feathers, Wild Orchid Crafts flowers and a key charm. Sentiment is a rubber stamp from Sweet Stamps

I even completed the inside using the same Basic Grey papers and a digital sentiment from Eureka Stamps

Eureka Challenge # 20 Something Old, New, Blue & Borrowed

For my DT card, I inked up this adorable Dragon digi 24801 Dragon Blowing Candles with my blue Copic markers!!  Paired it with some Bo-Bunny Sweet Tooth collection I have had for quite sometime, added some beautiful ribbon I borrowed from a gift box I received and then finished it off with a new bottle of Stickles Star Dust (my go to choice for a shimmer of bling)!

Button & Bows with Eureka Stamps

Hiya - hope you had a super weekend and are getting your craftyness on this morning!!

 

Keeping all my friends and family on the East Coast in my thoughts and prayers

for keeping safe with storm Sandy!

 

Eureka Stamps new challenge starts today and it's all about the Buttons and Bows

 

I went with a fairly easy card this week, as I had the urge to play with some glitter, and knew Eureka Stamps had the perfect image great for glittering up!!

 

Using digital image Eureka 4601 printed onto white card stock and colored with my Copic, I then had fun glittering up the ribbon and using Stickles for the confetti. Balloons have Diamond Glaze on them for a glossy touch. Background was embossed with a Cuttlebug folder, twine and a button with a double bow finishes off my card!!

My weekend has been very relaxing and I can honestly say that I am not looking forward to going back to work tomorrow!! LOL - I don't think any of us are!!!

For my card I used this beautiful image Butterfly and Bluebonnets ( 21201) and paired it up with these gorgeous papers from Kaiser Craft - although my ribbon looks blue actually is deep purple in IRL, I printed a second image and cut the butterfly out, colored and then popped it up over the main image to give some depth to my image
