A Yummy kind of Day with Ribbon and Bling

Hello, Sorry my post is a bit late this morning. I thought I had it scheduled to post this morning and I guess I didn't have the time of day right!

Today's card is my take on using my favorite embellishments on a card... This is for this week's challenge on Corrosive Challenge Blog. Come play with us and show us your favorite embellishment. We will be doing a MONTHLY prize draw starting in January rather than a weekly prize. Everyone who enters the challenges in January has a chance to win some GREAT prizes!! For the month of January. This month our sponsor is STRETCH N BUBBLES. You have until Saturday January 9th to add your link to Mr. Linky so we can check out your fabby creations!!!!!

I don't do many cards without my most favorite item which is Ribbon! A girl just can't have enough ribbon right? There are so many yummy varieties out there that I have a tendency to pick up a few every time I am near a craft store, whether I need it or not.

I used my Tilda from the Magnolia's Yummy Collection for this card and went with a birthday design. With 3 more birthdays in our family in just the next two weeks it will come in handy for my daughter's birthday on the 6th!

As you can see my other favorite embelly is bling, I just love to have sparkle on my cards. The more sparkle the happier I am LOL!

I stamped the image twice and then layered on top of one another for a more dimensional look to the card.

For the inside I continued with the same design paper, added a spellbinder die and a Happy Birthday sentiment.

Recipe
Image - Tilda baker - Yummy Collection
DP- DCWV "The Sweet" pack
CS - SU Chocolate Chip, Pink Pirquette
Ribbon - PTI Chocolate Polka dot
Sentiment - Gina K "My cuppa of joe" on the front
Bling - Hero Arts pink crystal bling
Spellbinders dies

Happy Christmas Eve!

Good morning, and a Merry Christmas Eve to everyone! I am busy baking a last batch of cookies for our get together this evening. Fudge is done (check), lemon bars (check), snowball cookies (check), Spinach dip (check), potato salad (check), last minute presents wrapped (check), whew a busy morning for me. I am so ready to sit back to enjoy seeing the grand kids tear open their gifts this evening and then for that jolly little man in the red suit to arrive after they are all tucked snugly in to bed. Op's forgot the reindeer food - well that is one item Hunter can do this afternoon. LOL!

Wishing you and all you hold dear to you a Very Merry Christmas!

Warm Wishes for you

Good morning and a Happy Friday to you! This little Maggie is wishing you the warmest wishes for a very happy day for whatever plans are for the day. I used the Sweet Sketch Wednesday sketch for my card today. The image and designer paper came from another kit I received from a Magnolia card kit swap on SCS. I wasn't sure about the darker colors at first but wanted to challenge myself to use most of the items in the kit. I am happy with how this card turned out.

I used my copics to color the image and added some copper Stickles on her wings and the ruffles of her sleeves. I then added a mixture of Prima rose buds, Making Memories blossoms and Mulberry Street paper flowers for the flowers and added some rhinestones to the corners and the metal frame.

Have a blessed day

Happy Easter !

I wish for you many happy moments on Easter. Here are a couple of Easter cards I made for my family. Do you have plans for today ? My girls and the grandsons will all be over this afternoon for our annual Easter egg hunt. It is always so much fun watching them race out to find their eggs, each one has a certain color that they have to find. Of course the biggest child out there having the most fun is the oldest grandson, I am going to miss it when he decides he is too old for egg hunting hope its not this year!

This little Magnolia is so sweet all dressed up for her egg hunt.

Sending everyone Easter Blessings
