TGF CHA Relay Challenge, Charlotte & Toby

Sad to read the email from Jess on the cancelling of the CHA Relay over at The Greeting Farm, but I totally understand. I think Mercy, Kim and Cindy and the rest of those that helped deserve a standing ovation for all the hard work they endured during the first three days of the challenge.
To say they were overwhelmed with post, issues, and a bit of stress would be an understatment. But, I have to say these gals were AMAZING through it all!!!!!! I for one appreciated all they did to make it work, they were so gracious with sending comments on our cards with each email. So sweet of them.

8,9 & 10 completed on time.

Hello and A Happy Monday ... Well the house is back to normal, all the holiday decorations are put back. After craftin all day Saturday, I spent yesterday cleaning, doing laundry and getting everything back to where it needs to be, it's back to the ole job for me today. (insert sad face) LOL! I think I could handle being a SAHM these days.

Today's cards are from The Greeting Farm's 12 Days of Sketches, I was able to actually finish up the last five sketches yesterday, even was able to post all twelve on the TGF's gallery. One of my resolutions for 2010 is to finish what I start, well so far I am doing pretty darn good :)

Day 8 sketch - I used another card kit from a Anya & Ian swap I hostess. Oh, this little guy is such a cutie (adding him to my wish list). The DP paper and image was part of the card kit and I layer them with SU Chocolate Chip and Bashful Blue. I added a bit of liquid glaze to show the contents of the little drink and highlighted the glass and tray with Sakura Clear Gel pen for a bit of shine. This will be my card for DH since his birthday is just a few days away.




Sketch Day 9 is this cute little Dorothy and her cute little companion, again another card kit. I wish I knew where the design paper is from, I am really likin it. I added the tiny Primas and center brads to jazz it up a little as it looked quite plain for me.




Sketch Day 10 is the lovely Miss Anya, isn't she just so fashionable? Another one for my wish list.LOL! This image was another card kit (my good friend Melissa"s daughter Hollyanne sent this kit for the swap - thanks hun what a great kit!) I use Chocolate Chip as an accent to the beautiful design paper and shiny Brazzil Green paper, along with a piece of PTI Chocolate polka dot ribbon,a bit of dazzling diamonds on the bib of her outfit, bow and lace of skirt to add a bit of shine.

Day 5 and 6 of 12 days of sketches

Good Morning - Looking forward to a warmer day YEAH! I am not a cold weather person by no means so when they say we will be in the 40's I get excited LOL!

Here is day 5 of the TGF's12 day of sketches . I am having a blast with these great sketches Jess, Maria, Cindy and Mercy has given us these past nine days. Have you seen the new Sprouts?? aren't they such cuties???

Two great sketches for the 12 days of sketches

Happy Tuesday - a bit cold here with just a very light dusting of snow. just enough to make it a bit fun while driving in the morning not to mention just trying to walk across the parking lot of black ice... not so much fun.

I have to tell you how great it is that I decided to play along with the Greeting Farm's 12 Days of Sketches, each one of my cards have been made with bit and pieces I seem to hoard. All the designer paper that I have used on these cards are pieces I have in a big plastic tote and most of the embellishments are also ones that I have stashed away for that rainy day. Now this brings me to think what if I did a 365 days of sketches WOW can you just think of how awesome it would be to create a card while cleaning out my scrap room of all the things I just won't part with cause I think I may need one day!!! LOL!!! Am I the only one who hangs on to that 2x2 piece of lovely scrap?

Day three brings us Chibi with her cookie- Now I do know this design paper is the beautiful Basic Grey with I layered with SU Barely Banana. Dressed it up with my MS punch and some pale pink heart brads I had received from a swap, the flowers are a mixture that I was able to match up and added a yellow pearl to the center, off set them with MS leaf punch.




Day four is Miss Anya - I had fun paper piecing her dress, this is a very clean and simple card for me but I think I like it. Not sure on the DP paper, SU Bashful blue/Ivory layered with a grain cardstock that is a milk chocolate. I inked the edges of the image with SU sky blue and add a few baby blue dew drops to finish the card

Jumping in half way!

Happy Monday to ya! My holidays are ending as I must go back to work this morning (insert sigh), but after a wonderful Christmas and a few extra days of relaxing and playing in my craft area I really shouldn't complain.

I took advantage of the extra time and decided to play in the 12 Days of Sketches that The Greeting Farm has going on. I actually was able to catch up and wanted to share with you the first two days of sketches with you.

My first sketch is using Candy Cane Snack digital image, I have had this one colored for a while and never got around to putting together a card. It worked perfectly for this sketch.



Day 2 sketch is with Chibi lunch gal... love the look of her already for lunch with her little lunch pail.

Rain, Rain go away!

Oh, how I love the sun to shine and to feel the heat of it's rays. Today was nothing but yucky with rain and clouds, no sun whats so ever (insert unhappy face). Being a California girl here in KY I look forward to the sun shining. I defintely am not a soaker, ha ha!

Here is a card that helped to me to think of a sunny day, playing outside in my bare feet. Isn't she just a cutie pie? I am so loving these stamps Hope and Grace from the Greeting Farm.



Tomorrow I hope to post a little project I made for a secret sister. It so so easy and I am very happy with how it turned out.

Oh my - it's been too long

I guess I really have neglected this new hobby of mine. Geez it been pretty close to a month since I posted last. Yes life is busy raising a 9 yr old grandson, but I really need to make more time for myself hence the begining of a blog.

So back to my crafting for some me time. I was able to get a couple of items done today since I stayed home from work with a little boy that claimed he was sick this morning but by noon he was feelin fine??? Maybe he knew that grandma needed some me time down in my room?

This card was made for a card kit swap that I joined. I had so much fun coloring this new image from The Greeting Farm - Hope and Grace. The paper is Minds Eye, the image was colored with Copics (stilling finding my style with them). I add pearls to the four corners, 2 on the side and a pearl brad (Thanks Cherifur)to the center of the Prima flower, the ribbon is from WV ribbon factory (Melissa tooks us there when we came to visit I was in heaven)and the tag is cut from the smallest nestie oval. I sponged Pretty in Pink around the edges.


For the inside I used both of the Minds Eye prints and add my senitment to a oval nestie that is sponged with Pretty in Pink
