Cookie Exchange Gifts

Good Morning, Hope you are keeping warm  It's definitely Cold Outside here!!

Today I am sharing a couple of pics of my decorated boxes filled with some
yummy cookies that I made for a annual cookie exchange. Each year
my two oldest daughters, my daughter in-law and my great friend and her daughter
get together for a afternoon/evening girls event where we have a cookie exchange
fabulous food (this year we had Olive Garden YUM!) and a few drinks. Just some
down time for us ladies, catching up on the latest happenings with each other, wonderful laughs
as we enjoy each other's company!!

This year I made two of my favorite easy as pie  Cookie recipes and created a decorated box
to give these goodies to each of my gals.

I created my box using utterly cute designer papers from Echo Park Holly Jolly Christmas collection
and decorated with sticklers from the Holly Jolly Christmas element page
I placed the stickers on white card stock then cut them out, snowflake is a Sizzix die
button from stash tied with Green Apple Divine twine from Really Reasonable Ribbon

From the element sticker page I was able to make all five boxes that I needed
for the exchange - this one has some of the Aqua twine added to the button
These papers are from Pink Paislee  Snow Days Frosty

One of my all time favorite cookies are the Thin Mints that you can buy each year
from the local Girl Scouts. Well  I was super excited when I found this super easy recipe they
are just as yummy as the ones from the Girl Scouts

Thin Mints
1 pkg (8 squares) Baker's Semi-Sweet Chocolate - melted slightly cooled
1/4 tsp peppermint extract
1 sleeve Ritz Crackers (36 crackers)
1 candy cane crushed

Mix chocolate and extract.
Dip crackers in chocolate mixture, turning to complete coat each cracker
Carefully scrape off excess chocolate
Place coated crackers in single layer on waxed paper- covered baking sheet sprinkle with
crushed candy

Refrigerate 30 minutes until chocolate is firm

Now with my family I have to triple this recipe - they go fast around here

Thanks for visiting and I hope you will enjoy this fabulous recipe for super
thin mints.

What a great packaging job for your cookie exchange. What an awesome recipe too. Those are my favorite Girl Scout cookies too so I'm going to have to try this recipe out as soon as I get a chance. I'm so glad you joined our recipe swap over at Really Reasonable Ribbon.
