Lets make it 3D this week at Going Grey with Scrap-Creations

Happy Tuesday

Today at Going Grey with Scrap-Creations challenge we have a fun challenge for you this week. How many of you cringe when you see a challenge were they are asking to see some 3D on your card or project. I know I used to think Oh no!! I am not sure what to do that could be 3D. Well little did I know that it could be as simple as flowers or simply by stamping your image a couple of times and layering the images on top of each other. 3D means having a three-dimensional form or appearance as part of your card or project Not as hard as I made it seemed to be.

So when Kristen told us DT gals she wanted to see 3D on our cards this week, I didn't hesitate to go looking for an image that I could layer to give that three-dimensional appearance to.

Here is what I came up with using this gorgeous digital image from Just Inklined Digital Stamps

I simply printed the image out three times and then colored up each of the flowers, then hand cut two of each one and then popped them on top of my main image for that three dimensional form.
Design paper is from my stash and is actually the reverse side of some left over Christmas papers, layered with PTI Spring Moss and Dark Chocolate, Ribbon is also PTI New Leaf, layered on to May Arts twine mesh, SU linen thread, sentiment is MFT, I added some chocolate Stickles to the flower centers.

I even finished the inside with a sentiment from Gina K.

Now as I was surfing blog land over the weekend I came across a wonderful tutorial  on the Whiff of Joy Inspiration blog with Kylie and she shares how to make a 3D Christmas card. I knew I just had to give this a try since this was our challenge for this week. Oh this was super simple and a great tutorial which you can find here.

.
Here is my card using Kylie's tutorial and like I said it was super easy and I love how it turned out. I think it took me about 30 minutes to make this. I used some Recollection design paper that I picked up at Michael's. PTI New Leaf card stock and ribbon, half back pearls and stamped the sentiment with SU Eggplant ink, Nestabilities scalloped circles die cuts.

Okay now it is your turn, come join us this week creating a 3D card or project. Now swing on over to Scrap-Creations to see all  the beautiful projects the amazing design team is sharing. You will be inspired to start working on your 3D project I promise.

Thanks for visiting, I would love to see your project if you decide to join us.

Happy craftin
