Happy Friday - can I hear a Whoop Whoop!!!
I am so glad today is Friday and this week will soon be over!! It has been one of those weeks, where if it could go wrong it did. First I totally forgot to post on Monday for one of my design teams (can I blame it on the blonde hair?) then blogger decides it doesn't want to post my scheduled post on Tuesday and I realized it almost at the end of the day, then yesterday as I am getting ready to take some pictures of 5 cards I made I hit a cup of coffee (mine of course) that of course went all over and ruined all 5 cards!!!! So with that said I am staying in the house today by myself - and hoping my luck will change. :)
Luckily my card for our challenge at Fussy & Fancy Challenge blog was not one of the cards that was drowned in coffee. So I do have a card to share with you, but first let me tell you about our fun challenge for this week. The Fussy & Fancy Gals want to see Christmas Colors this week, now your project does not have to be Christmas related.at all. So use your creative minds and show us some of those beautiful colors that reminds us all of Christmas.
Our wonderful sponsor for this challenge is the fabulous Simon Says Stamps!!! So here is your chance to go browse this delightful store for some fabulous goodies. Did you know that they have over 100,000 items in stock, Simon is proud to offer the best selection of Rubber Stamps, Scrap booking, Artist Trading Cards, Altered Art, and Paper Crafting Supplies in the world. Now that is what I call "it's all about shopping"!
So what are your favorite Christmas Colors? Mine just happen to be .....
Yes the traditional Red and Green, nothing says Christmas to me like the mixture of beautiful reds and winter greens. Now I am a stickler about having more than one Christmas tree in my house, the more the merrier and the one tree that is decorated in Red and Green is the one in my dinning room which is done all in Santa Claus Ornaments. All the others have to match my decor in each room, (a bit strange here am I?) but since this is my most favorite holiday I make sure I spread the cheer throughout the house. I won't tell you just how weird I am when it comes to matching the decor, but I will tell you that I do get alot of harassment from my girls because my wrapping paper and bows must match the color scheme of the tree. Hee hee! Am I the only one who is this nerdy?
A little about my card, this is part of a card kit that I sent recently to a group that I participate in, the theme was fall and since I had made a kit using the traditional oranges and browns, I kind of thought it would be fun to have one in another color combo so as I was looking through my Magnolia stamps, I was trying to think of some fall activities besides the leaves turning into their beautiful colors, all the craved pumpkins and Halloween, when I remember this is the time of year we go Apple picking for our annual applesauce and apple butter making.
Well since I don't have a Tilda with Apples I decided my Peach Tilda worked pretty darn good for me not only for my card kit, but for our Red and Green challenge too.
The background designer paper is Basic Grey - Urban Prairie, the green is one I found in the clearance aisle at Michael's, Tilda is colored with Copics, I added Stardust stickles to her dress, white gel pen for the polka dots on her boots, Ruby Slippers stickles for the dots around the image, Prima flowers with Stardust stickles on the edges, leaves are also Prima, MS fence punch, PTI Poppy Red and Black card stock, Prima Say it in Pearls, Red Gingham Ribbon - Michael's.
You must stop over at Fussy & Fancy Challenge blog, the F&;F gals have some beautiful cards to inspire you, I do hope you join us this week, I would love to see your take on Christmas Colors.
Thanks for taking the time to visit me this morning, well I better go see what kind of trouble I can get into down in my craft area. Have a wonderful day and weekend.

Hi Jackie, I love the colors in your card, they all match so perfectly. Love that Tilda is holding apples instead of peaches. I know the girls in our group are going to love your card kits, they should be getting them today or tommorrow. Sorry to hear about your coffee incident. That is so totally me..I can't even have a closed bottle of water near me when I am working on anything! LOL!! Hugs, Teresa E.
Oh no! I am so sorry to hear about your drowned cards! That's terrible. I swear, we crafters need to return to using sippy cups. LOL
I am really glad this card wasn't one drowning in coffee. This is absolutely gorgeous Jackie! Wow!! I love all kinds of colors for Christmas, but you're right, nothing says Christmas more than rich reds and winter greens. Beautiful job and I love love love those roses.
I hope today goes well for you, my friend.
Hugs,
Mel
This is soooo gorgeous Jacki...oh my LOVE those flowers and Tilda looks GORGEOUS!!!
Adorable Jackie! Oh my gosh, you've had a bad week. I'm glad this card didn't get drowned in coffee though I'm sure the ones that did were equally as fabulous. Bummer. Oh, and your Christmas trees in different rooms with different themes/decor is just like one of my friends so it doesn't sound weird to me. Not sure about the wrapping paper matching the tree though... :)
This is great. I love the way the elements all come together. VERY nice. TFS
Well I hate the thought of any of your cards being drowned b/c they are such a work of art but this card rocks! It is so Jackie and I love it!
