Each week Sweet Stamps has a new challenge and although you are not required to use a Sweet Stamp, if you have some we would love for you to use them and you will receive a second entry into our draw.
Our prize each week to one lucky winner is a $20.00 gift certificate to Sweet Stamp Store for use on any of our lovely rubber stamps.
Well I tried to go outside my comfort zone and gave the Wax Paper Resist technique a try!!
Still on the fence with this one - didn't come out the way I envision.
So I started with glossy white paper, crumbled piece of wax paper then sandwiched them together and ironed the entire thing!! Then I used Tim Holtz Fired Brick distress ink and using a blender, blended all over the waxed piece of glossy paper, wiping with a paper towel to remove the excess ink (maybe I was to heavy handed with the ink?), I then cut using a label die, stamped my Christmas sentiment (which is very clear IRL). The second sheet of glossy paper I stamped two different flowers, the larger one is the Aster flower "From the Garden", and also the larger Daisy from the Daisy Duo set to create what I hope would look like a Poinsettia, adding mirco beads, and yellow glitter to the center.
