Sweet Stamps Challenge #76 Christmas Ornament

Happy Tuesday Crafty  friends !!

Today I am sharing my DT card for this week's challenge at Sweet Stamps

This week our challenge is focused on a card technique

Christmas Ornament

How fun is this and a great way to start early so you will have enough ready to decorate your tree!

Each week Sweet Stamps has a new challenge and although you are not required to use a Sweet Stamp, if you have some we would love for you to use them and you will receive a second entry into our draw.

Our prize each week to one lucky winner is a $20.00 gift certificate to Sweet Stamp Store for use on any of our lovely rubber stamps.

I am going to tell you ahead that I really went overboard as
I couldn't decide what I wanted to share so
I ended up doing two different ornaments!
One using a Sweet Stamp stamp and Another using a Cheery Lynn Design Die.

I first cut out two with gold glitter paper - one laying the die on top and the other laying the die on the back side of the paper. I then glued them onto a piece of Thermo Acetate (front and back) then fussy cut around the silhouette, I then cut each section using Red, Green glitter paper, cream shimmer paper and then glue each piece into the silhouette (like putting a puzzle together).
I added Red Pearl Pen for my berries and yelow gems for the center of flower.

Here is a close up!

For my next ornament I created a rosette with Sweet Stamps Small Wreath 132

I started with 12 1 1/2x 1 1/2 squares and rolled them gluing them to a 2 inch circle
added 1.5 inch circle on top and then stamped my Wreath onto white card stock
colored with Copic and adhered to the top with 1 inch pop dots. I sprinkle glue into each of the
cones and then sprinkled with fine clear glitter. Add a ribbon for hanging.

Be sure to visit Sweet Stamps blog and see what the rest of the team has created for you. And please join in on the fun!!

Fabulous ornaments- love the ornament made from the die- and the pinwheel with the wreath. You really had the wheels spinning! Loving the glimmer- it will be so awesome with the lights from the tree.

Superb ornaments! I love the glitter pieced candlelight die, and the wreath ornament looks great with the DP rosette...the added glitter in the cones adds a nice sparkly touch!
