Happy Monday to all,
Can you believe this is the last day of January?? Were did this month go?? Seems like it was just the beginning a few days ago. So with a new week brings a new challenge to StampFairy Challenge blog and this week we have a fun theme challenge for you. Homemade Flowers, with all the different techniques and ways to create your own beautiful flowers, we would love for you to share your favorite technique with us.
I came across a blog the other day and seen how flowers were being made out of a heart punch ( sorry of course I didn't bookmark to give credit where do). So I decided to give it a try by punching hearts using scraps of my designer paper with my Martha Stewart heart punch. I distressed the edges with SU Riding Hood Red ink, then using my small hole punch I punched a hole at the bottom tip of the heart and then added them to a brad!! Scrunched them up a bit here and there and wa la!! I have some pretty cool flowers.
I used one of the newly release Lenny Ladybug images (find here in the store), colored with Copic, then I added a bit of Diamond Glaze to the ladybug shell for a bit of shine. Papers are PTI Beautiful Blooms, ticket sentiments are ones I picked up from the Internet and once again did not include who made them (so sorry!! I am trying to do better with this).
My layout is Pixie Cottage sketch plus they wanted to see flowers
Crafty Emma's challenge wants to see bold and bright this week which I think my card is pretty bold with the polka dots and bright, Just Us Girls wants to see make your own flowers this week as well, Stamp, Scrap & Doodle wants to get punchy and I have a lot of punch hearts in those flowers- hope that counts! Delicious Doodles is looking for spots or stripes this week, Fuzzy Wuzzy is looking for anything goes as long as main focal is an animal.
I hope you will come join us this week at StampFairy's challenge blog, great theme to win some cute images from StampFairy. Did you see that StampFairy is now offering digital paper packs?
Here is just a couple of the packs that you can purchase
