Well I was able to spend some time in my craft room yesterday as we spent the day just kickin back and relaxing. I have been wanting to play in the new challenge blog that Sweet 'n Sassy started a few weeks back Crazy 4 Cocoa Challenge.
I even purchased a couple of images when the new blog began and just now found the time to play along. This week the challenge is to use red, blue and brown together.
Using the sketch SSS88 for this week at The Sweet Stop Sketches, I pulled out my beloved Basic Grey Sugar Rush paper pack and this sweet little Cocoa image Cocoa's Latte and here is my card.
After much fiddling with oval dies to fit my image I ended up just free cutting and mounting on top of a few Nesties ovals. I paper pieced the band on the cup cozy and colored the rest with Copic. What a fun card to create and I love the color combo of the red, blue and brown.
Thanks for visiting, stay warm and be safe.

Jackie, great card. I like the stiching and to paper pieced the band was such a great idea. Great layout !!

A lovely card - the colours do work well together. Wow to you hand cutting the ovals! And your stitching looks fab.
Best wishes for the New Year.

Super cute card and I love these colors together - will have to remember this combo. I love these papers together and especially for the paper piecing you did on that adorable image!
