Today Tuesday Morning Sketches begins a new and fun challenge. This week Melissa has something a bit different for you, instead of a sketch she is challenging us to make Handmade Flowers for our cards or project.
Now this is really fun to do, there are so many different ways and tutorials to make your own flowers, I used left over pattern paper from my card and then using the two smallest Spellbinder Blossoms die cut, I punched out 8 of the smallest and three of the medium dies, then I scrunched each of them up as tight as I could, rolling them into a ball (spray lightly with water prior to scrunching prevents the paper from tearing especially if it is a heavy weight paper), I then unrolled and inked edges, poked a hole in center and insert a brad, then I shaped my flower by scrunching the petals. I added a half back pearl as my flower center and Stickles to edges to add some simmer.
This challenge is going to be a judged challenge and Melissa is our sponsor this week, (I hear she has put together one fabulous prize). We can't wait to see your Hand Made Flowers.
Need some inspiration? then hop on over to Tuesday Morning Sketches blog and check out the fabulous flowers my sister DT's have made to share with you. You will definitely be amazed at the beautiful creations they are sharing and you can visit their blogs for more details on their gorgeous flowers.
Remember to link your creation to the blog by Sunday evening so we can come visit to see and learn how you made your HandMade Flowers.
