A little kick is all it took!

Well Melissa over at Tuesday Morning Sketches gave me that kick in the rear (thanks Mel, I so needed it LOL!) with her challenge this week of altering something or create a 3D  item.  I love this challenge as I have been wanting to alter this gorgeous frame that I found at HL in the clearance row for a whooping $.90 I think they made a mistake since it was in perfect condition and beautiful before I altered it, but we won't tell them that!  Since I wanted it to go in my spare bedroom I have been putting off doing anything with it. Talk about perfect timing,  as I just picked out the paint on Monday for the room and was able to get the room painted by Tuesday evening.  I have the perfect spot on the dresser for it too, I think I am going to have to take a picture of it displayed in the room.  The paper is K&Company from a pack that I picked up at JoAnn's on clearance as well and it matches the colors of the room perfectly. The bling and flowers are from my stash and the saying is courtsey of create with TLC. I adhered the paper with Modgepod and then inked all edges with distressing ink Old Linen, distressed the flower edges as well, then added a touch of glitter to help bring out the slight glitter in the paper.

Here's a peek of it on the dresser in the spare room , matches great with the new paint.

I hope you like, I am very happy with the way it turned out.
