StampFairy Friday Release and Freebie

Hello

I have a super cute card to share with you today, using StampFairy's newly released Donny Honey Bee and a preview of how you can use the Friday Freebie within your layout.

Each Friday StampFairy releases a new set of images to the store and this week we have Donny Honey Bee joining the StampFairy family.

Along with the new release is a free image, this week it is Donny's own little beehive!! Do you see it on my card? I reduced the size down, so I could use it as a little charm on my card. After cutting it out and coloring, I punched a small hole in the top, then I gave it a good thick coat of Diamond Glaze. Once it was try I ran some twine through and attached to my bow just like you would a charm. Cute - yes?

New sketch with Sweet Sketch Wednesday

Hello friends,

I think I am ready for some warm weather, and no more snow!!! We just received 7 more inches of snow yesterday, and it is still coming down.  It's pretty but it's cold and I am not looking forward to shoveling the walkway and driveway again today. I think I am ready for Spring to arrive.

Now enough of my complaining, let's move right on to the new sketch this week at Sweet Sketch Wednesday, as it is one you are going to want to try this week. Arlana has done it again and has designed another fantastic sketch with lots of layers.

Going Grey with Scrap - Creations and StampFairy

Hello, Happy Tuesday,

I am not sure what is going on with this weather but it is really crazy here - 54 degrees on Saturday and then it drops to 21 degrees today brrrrrrrrrrr it's cold out there! Now we are suffering with sniffles and hope that is all it will be.

So I am definitely in the mood for some warm weather, and since Mother Nature is not cooperating with me LOL!! (like I am the she will listen too) I went to the next best thing and created a fun warm sunny card to help see some signs of  Spring.

Christmas gifts for teachers

Hello and a Happy Saturday to all

Just a quick post to share a few of the teacher's gifts I made up for Hunter to share with his teacher's for the holidays.

I found these cute little Mason jars filled with a candle at one of my local stores for $1. Using StampFairy's Betty Christmas Wreath for a cute little lid topper

Next I made a few Pizza boxes (template can be found on SCS) and filled them with some little goodies

I filled this one with a chocolate chip cookie and a gift certificate for Starbuck coffee

To hold the box closed I made a belly band and then decorated with StampFairy's Gingerbread Bakery and Gingerbaby, nestie's circles and scalloped circles, ribbon, button and twine

These little boxes can hold so many little treats, this one has 16 nuggets inside, and a few left over to keep my mojo going haahaaa!

Hunter said they were a big hit with all of his teachers!

Sweetest little Kasi

Good morning and a Happy Friday

WOW, time is flying and it's only a week away from Christmas. I still have a few things to finish up before that Jolly Ole fella shows up. Can we have a few more hours in the day for the next few days?

Gift card holder with a New StampFairy image

Good chilly morning to you,

Well, I think winter has decided to welcome us with a wee bit of snow and a whole lot of cold!!!  It was 3 degrees with the windchill factor this morning and I am walking around with two pairs of socks on as my toes are freezing! LOL!

Well it a day full of fun for my blog today and starting off the 3 different post for today is our new challenge this week at Going Grey with Scrap-Creations.

You all definitely like our challenge last week with 115 entries and I hope you will join us again this week as we look for Christmas Gifts and Gift holders.
We would love to see how creative you all can get with this!!!

Here is my project for our challenge, I am doing gift certificates for the boys this year because that is what they want ??? but they still will have presents to open too.

This is a gift card  holder wallet ( I found this tutorial on Whiff of Joy Inspiration about a year ago) and here is the inside with a loaded Game Card ready to be spent.

This little wallet is a snap to make and I love how roomy the inside is, along with the little belt that keeps it all tucked nicely inside.

The cute little image is a new addition to StampFairy and you can find him here. he is colored with Copic with glitter flock for his cuffs and hat.

Rudolph the Reindeer

Hi just a quick post as I used this week's sketch from the Sweet Stop Sketch challenge this week and wanted to get my card in before the deadline.

This little red nose reindeer is a fairly new addition to the StampFairy Family and I couldn't resist coloring him up when I remembered I have had this paper for ever in my stash and knew it would be perfect with this little guy.  My card uses this week's sketch SSS84 over at Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge and although it called for a round image piece I just had to go with an Oval with Rudolph here.

Tuesday Morning Sketches # 70

Happy Tuesday ,  well the week is starting out good so far, and today we woke up to some snow, but they are saying not to expect it to stay as they are calling for lots of rain through out the day. What a perfect day to stay in and get crafty.

Melissa has a great sketch for you this week to play along with this week.

I am beginning to worry a little with myself as I have noticed lately that 1) I am not paying attention or 2) I may need to get my eyes checked again LOL! because I actually had gone a complete opposite way with my card when I saw that the sketch does call for an image which really turned out well for me as I sure wasn't ooh-ing and awwhing over my first card. But that is what is so great about having a sketch to get your mojo moving and then adding your own little touches to make a card you really like. Right? I did tweak it just a bit as I was really having a hard time stamping the sentiment into separate pieces, seems it looked pretty straight when I lined the stamp up but boy were those words ever crooked when I actually  stamped it. So what the heck keep it together and it works too.

Here is Melissa's fun sketch and as you can see it clearly states "place image here"  Yes I do see it when it is in that large print and I am about 3 feet away LOL!!  Oh I think I better think about making an  eye appointment first thing this afternoon.......

Chubby Tool Time

Happy Monday,  hope everyone had a fabulous weekend and my friends that celebrated Thanksgiving had a wonderful holiday. Oh it's Cyber Monday and I was able to get a few things this morning so I can now say that I have officially begun my Christmas shopping.. I am usually done by now, but finding it is harder and harder to buy for my boys as I feel like I buy the same thing every year.

Look at this little cutie, he is called Chubby Handyman and you can pick him up at the Stamp Fairy store here. Plus as a bonus StampFairy has an awesome sale going on through the end of December, all images are 50% off.

I used some older DP from a DCWV kids pack and layered with PTI Pure Poppy card stock - He is all colored with Copic E33.35,31,Y21,R21, then for the hinges (locks) I colored with  a Clear Sakura Gelly Roll pen,  I stitched around the middle papers to add some detail to the paper, my brads are actually eyelets that I found in my stash along with the hardware I used on the ribbon to make it look like a belt. the yummy Ribbon is Pure Poppy from PTI and the sentiment is a Printwork stamp. I used this week's sketch from Clean & Simple Stamping challenge ( I did stamp with the sentiment), also Paper Pretties' challenge is asking for a clean and simple layout so I will be entering my card into both of these challenges. Party Time Tuesday's challenge is 2 DP and 3 embellishments (Birthday, 1 image, 2 DP, brads, ribbon & hard ware)

I think it makes a cute birthday card for a young boy and having 6 grandsons I am always being asked for birthday cards.

A Perfect Day and Wild Rose Studio blog hop sketch

Good morning and a happy start of a beautiful weekend,
