Busy Busy so posting one for two today!

Whew, I have a feeling this week is going to fly by and I still have a few (quite a list) things I must finish up before Friday gets here.

I managed to finish up all my baking and candy making this weekend and now to package it up and deliver to my neighbors, putting the last of the Christmas cards in the box this morning -  I know cutting it  a little close but these are all going local so they will receive before Friday (fingers crossed), LOL!

Now for my actual card posting, My card is my DT card for two different challenges -The first challenge is StampFairy second challenge ANYTHING GOES!!

All the gals from the two terms I have served are very talented and share so much inspiration that I was honored to be a team member among them. I will miss being a part of the team but will be visiting and joining them as often as I can ...... Thank you Melanie for the past fun six months!

Ok, so here is my card for the two challenges using StampFairy Lenny with his Candy Cane.

Critter Sketch Challenge #28

Good Morning and a Happy Monday,

It's the beginning to a new week and hopefully a calmer week than I had last week. Today being it is Monday starts a new challenge over on the Critter Sketch Challenge and this week we have a recipe challenge for you all to play with.

Our very own team mate Moira has challenge us with this wonderful recipe of  using the colour red and striped patterned paper somewhere on your creation. She would also like to see something summer related.

Here is my take on the this week's challenge

I used this wonderful image from Karen's Doodles of Summertime Boy Baseball, along with this week's Friday Sketchers sketch #116 for my layout. Using PTI card stock Poppy Red and Enchanted Evening, design paper is from Creative Imaginations, sewing around the base of the card and nestie oval of the image. PTI buttons were used for the embellishments with SU linen thread, Queen & Co half pearls used on the corners.Sentiment is from PTI Everyday Buttons.

We would love to have you join our challenge this week, the sky is the limit for your creation but remember to use the color red, striped pattern paper and summery theme on your creation.

If you would be interested in being on our design team Critter Sketch Challenge is currently having a Design Team Call. Please click here for all the details, Being part of a design team is fun and challenging so give it a try.

Thanks for visiting with me today and I hope you join our challenge this week as I would love to stop by your blog to see your creation.

Wishing you Sunshine and Happiness - New Challenge at Critter Sketch

Hi, Happy Monday!
WOW! where does the time go?? Seems like the days are just flying by, this is the last week of summer vacation for the kids here in our area. Boy, I just spent the last three days getting school supplies and fighting the crowd trying to find school clothes for Hunter. Could not beleive that they had hoodies and long sleeves on the racks, amazing since it has been in the high 90's the past week.
Okay on to my reason for my post this beautiful morning, Today is Critter Sketch Challenge day and Melaine has a great sketch for you this week.

There are no special requirements this week except the sketch. You can create it as a card or scrapbook page and you can create it as is or flip it.

I kept my card pretty much to the sketch and I have to say it was fun and easy to follow. For my image I used one that was being offered as a freebie and once again I did not list who was offering it. I know it was out there for anyone to use that wanted to make a card for a fellow blogger's sister. (If you know who this belongs to please post in the comments so I can give credit to who created and deserves credit). I am trying to be more aware and listing the company of each image when I download and save to my computer.

Our August sponsor is limeLight Papercrafts.

Now hop on over to the Critter Sketch Challenge blog as my fellow design team gals have some Absolutely Gorgeous cards to share with you. I hope you find inspiration with the sketch and join us this week. Just upload your card or project on the Critter Sketch Challenge blog and I will stop by and leave some love.

Have a Great Day!!

Life and Lemons = Margaritas

Good Morning and a Happy Monday!

I am still having a fabulous time in Chicago, and hoping the rain stays away so we can take in the Cubs game this evening. This is the one thing that Hunter insisted he wanted to do while we are here, so as long as I don't have to sit in the rain we will be catching a ball game tonight.

Today begins a new challenge over on the Critter Sketch challenge blog, This week we have a fabulous sketch for you to play with. Now the challenge is to use the sketch plus we want to see you use a minimum of 2 different ribbons.

This is my off week on the design team, but you know I can not resist a good sketch so I just had to play along.

As some of you may agree when Everyday Life and Lemons meet that it sometimes equals only one thing - Margaritas!!! LOL!! Beverage of my choice on those days when all is tart!

When I saw this sweet image released on Whimsie Doodles, I didn't hesitate to grab it up. It is such a fun image and I see me using it for many different occasions. I think it makes a great Pick Me Up card on those days that you find you're carrying the whole world on your shoulders. LOL! Ever have one of those days?

I used Basic Grey Nooks and Pantry paper collection,(isn't it just perfect with this image?), a little bit of Dazzling Diamonds and Stardust Stickles to give the lemons a bit of sparkle. Doodle Bug glittery candy dots. Those yummy ribbons are from a Taylor Expression's Key Ingredient Kit.

So I hope you hop on over to visit the Critter Sketch Challenge Blog and see all the fabulous creations the design team has to share with you today. I would love to see your creation with the sketch, just link your card to our challenge blog by Sunday August 8th.

Have a Fabulous Week and crafty day!!
Thanks for visiting my blog!

Birthday Wishes Challenge with Critter Sketch, Phindy's Place and Basic Grey

Good Morning my friends,

It's kind of yucky weather here today, overcast with thunderstorms but hopefully it will clear up as the day progresses as we have tickets for our local farm league baseball team this evening and Hunter really wants to go since he won these tickets by reading 4 books through their reading club. It's a great program for the young kids during the summer, and the games are always so much fun for them as the evening is filled with activities for them to participate in.

Have you visited the Critter Sketch Challenge this week? We have a birthday challenge for you and we would like to see  your take on creating a child's birthday card. Your project can be for a baby, toddler, or teen birthday. Although it is not my week to showcase my designs please stop by the blog and check out the fabulous creations by the design team. Lots of wonderful inspiration for you!

I never seem to have any cards on hand for those girl birthdays that seem to sneak up on me and when I saw that Phindy's Place Challenge blog challenge #8  for this week was that they want to see Happy Birthday projects. I remember I had this adorable image from Phindy's Place that was offered as a freebie awhile ago and knew I must use it for my card. I colored her up with my Copics and for my layout I used this week's great sketch from Sketch and Stash challenge sketch #37 .   My  gorgeous DP is from the Basic Grey " Green at Heart" paper pad, my flowers and flower buds are Primas, sentiment is PTI, I added some Orange and Magenta Stickles for dazzling bling on the image flowers and sprayed the flowers with glimmer mist for some more dazzle, my ribbon, pearls and doily are from my stash.

I very happy with the finished card and can't wait to deliver to a special little girl for on her birthday.

This card will be entered in the following challenges
Phindy's Place Challenge #8 - Happy Birthday
Sketch and Stash challenge sketch #37 - New : Basic Grey Paper, first time using image Stash: ribbon, pearls and flowers
CupCake Craft Challenge - dazzle - stickles and glimmer mist
Going Grey Challenge #14- Happy Birthday - BG Green at Heart DP
Simon Said Challenge- recipe 1 image, 2 DP and 3 embellishments - flowers, ribbon and pearls

Well since I have two more of my grandsons for the day we are heading out to a art class to paint our own ceramics this morning. The youngest (6yr old) was so excited when he saw that they had a class he called me to tell me about the class and asked if I would take him to paint on the day he was with me. Oh how could I not say yes to this precious child of mine. I am so blessed with these boys.

Thank you so much for stopping by, I wish you only the best and hope your day is filled with wonderful memories.

Big Hugs
